Soft Toy Taxidermy | School Holiday Workshop
July 8 @ 10:30 am - 12:30 pm
$34 – $39
Create a wonderfully weird creature and display it like a museum specimen!
In this fun, hilarious and imaginative workshop, children will transform ordinary soft toys into extraordinary creatures using creativity, construction skills and a little bit of artistic mischief!
Participants will design and build their own unique soft toy creature using a range of toys, fabrics, accessories and embellishments. Add extra limbs, tails, horns, wings, eyes and other surprising features to create a one-of-a-kind character.
Once complete, each creature will be mounted onto a display frame, just like a curious specimen in a natural history museum. The result is a quirky artwork that’s equal parts sculpture, storytelling and imagination.
This workshop encourages creative thinking, design skills, problem-solving and character development while introducing participants to the playful contemporary art practice of soft toy taxidermy.
What to bring:
· All materials supplied
· Bring your own soft toy if you’d like to give an old favourite a new life
