DESCRIPTION:NERAM Kids: After School Art program for 6 – 9 year olds. \nJoin us for a 8-week art adventure at Packsaddle Studio! Children aged 6–9 will explore painting\, drawing\, collage\, printmaking\, and clay in a fun and supportive environment. The program finishes with a mini-exhibition where each child proudly presents their work. Spots are limited\, so book early! \nVisits to the gallery will also be included. As will be using messy materials in some classes\, please ensure kids have an apron\, or wear clothes that can afford to get a little paint on them. We also recommend a water bottle. SUMMARY:Collage Workshop: Inspired by The Great Wave
DESCRIPTION:In this creative workshop\, children will explore the famous Japanese artwork The Great Wave off Kanagawa (1831) by artist Katsushika Hokusai. After looking closely at the shapes\, movement and colours in the artwork\, children will create their own interpretation using watercolour painting and collage techniques.\n\nStudents will begin by painting a background wash with watercolours to create sky and ocean tones. They will then build the dramatic wave shapes using torn and layered recycled papers and other recycled material experimenting with colour\, texture and composition to capture the energy of the sea.\n\nEach artwork will be unique\, encouraging children to respond creatively to the original image while exploring sustainable artmaking with recycled materials.\n\n\n\n\n\nMaterials provided:\n\n\nWatercolour paints and brushes\n\n\nWatercolour paper\n\n\nRecycled coloured paper and magazines\n\n\nCardboard and scrap paper for collage\n\n\nGlue sticks and scissors\n\n\nReference images of The Great Wave\n\n\n\nDo children need to bring anything?\nNo materials are required. SUMMARY:Term 2 NERAM Kids - Monday After School Art
DESCRIPTION:NERAM Kids: After School Art program for 6 – 9 year olds. \nAcross the term\, children will experiment with a range of materials and techniques. including painting\, drawing and collage. All the while exploring concepts such as colour\, pattern\, shape\, and self-expression. Artists may include Vincent van Gogh\, Pablo Picasso\, Claude Monet\, Yayoi Kusama\, Henri Matisse\, Frida Kahlo\, Georgia O’Keeffe and Keith Haring. \nThe aim is to build confidence\, creativity and curiosity\, while giving students a sense of connection to well-known artworks in an accessible and engaging way. \n Spots are limited\, so book early! \nVisits to the gallery will also be included. As will be using messy materials in some classes\, please ensure kids have an apron\, or wear clothes that can afford to get a little paint on them. We also recommend a water bottle. All kids must be picked up after class at the Packsaddle Studio Door as their safety is our priority. \nDate | Monday 4 May – Monday 29 June 2026 (8 weeks) excludes Monday\, June 8 Public Holiday \nTime | 4pm – 5:15pm \nVenue | Packsaddle Studio\, located at the back of NERAM. DESCRIPTION:Bring your babies\, toddlers and/or preschoolers into NERAM on Wednesday mornings for a session of sensory play where we explore colour\, shape and texture. Our Art Play facilitator\, will bring a different activity for each session which is great for children\, parents and care givers. There are art based activities that are designed for both ends of the 0-6 age bracket so everyone is entertained and learning. \nA good idea to dress your child or baby in an outfit that can afford to get a little messy; if you have any allergy concerns\, please contact NERAM in advance. \nDATES | Wednesdays\, April 29 – June 24 \nTIMES | 10.30am – 11.15am \nBookings remain essential.
