DESCRIPTION:NERAM Kids: After School Art program for 6 – 9 year olds. \nAcross the term\, children will experiment with a range of materials and techniques. including painting\, drawing and collage. All the while exploring concepts such as colour\, pattern\, shape\, and self-expression. Artists may include Vincent van Gogh\, Pablo Picasso\, Claude Monet\, Yayoi Kusama\, Henri Matisse\, Frida Kahlo\, Georgia O’Keeffe and Keith Haring.  \nThe aim is to build confidence\, creativity and curiosity\, while giving students a sense of connection to well-known artworks in an accessible and engaging way. \n Spots are limited\, so book early!  \nVisits to the gallery will also be included. As will be using messy materials in some classes\, please ensure kids have an apron\, or wear clothes that can afford to get a little paint on them. We also recommend a water bottle. SUMMARY:Term 2 NERAM Kids -  Monday After School Art
DESCRIPTION:NERAM Kids: After School Art program for 6 – 9 year olds. \nAcross the term\, children will experiment with a range of materials and techniques. including painting\, drawing and collage. All the while exploring concepts such as colour\, pattern\, shape\, and self-expression. Artists may include Vincent van Gogh\, Pablo Picasso\, Claude Monet\, Yayoi Kusama\, Henri Matisse\, Frida Kahlo\, Georgia O’Keeffe and Keith Haring.  \nThe aim is to build confidence\, creativity and curiosity\, while giving students a sense of connection to well-known artworks in an accessible and engaging way. \n Spots are limited\, so book early!  \nVisits to the gallery will also be included. As will be using messy materials in some classes\, please ensure kids have an apron\, or wear clothes that can afford to get a little paint on them. We also recommend a water bottle. All kids must be picked up after class at the Packsaddle Studio Door as their safety is our priority.  \nDate | Monday 4 May –  Monday 29 June 2026 (8 weeks) excludes Monday\, June 8 Public Holiday \nTime | 4pm – 5:15pm \nVenue | Packsaddle Studio\, located at the back of NERAM. SUMMARY:Soft Toy Taxidermy | School Holiday Workshop
DESCRIPTION:Create a wonderfully weird creature and display it like a museum specimen! \nIn this fun\, hilarious and imaginative workshop\, children will transform ordinary soft toys into extraordinary creatures using creativity\, construction skills and a little bit of artistic mischief! \nParticipants will design and build their own unique soft toy creature using a range of toys\, fabrics\, accessories and embellishments. Add extra limbs\, tails\, horns\, wings\, eyes and other surprising features to create a one-of-a-kind character. \nOnce complete\, each creature will be mounted onto a display frame\, just like a curious specimen in a natural history museum. The result is a quirky artwork that’s equal parts sculpture\, storytelling and imagination. \nThis workshop encourages creative thinking\, design skills\, problem-solving and character development while introducing participants to the playful contemporary art practice of soft toy taxidermy. \n  \n\nWhat to bring: \n· All materials supplied\n· Bring your own soft toy if you’d like to give an old favourite a new life\n· No sewing experience needed\n· Mount your creature on a display frame to take home and hang on the wall \nTake home a truly unique artwork! \n  \n\nEVENT INFORMATION \nDate: Wednesday 8th July \nTime: 10.30am -12.30pm \nCost: $34 – $39 per participant \nAge: Recommended for ages 10+. Children aged 6–9 years are welcome with a parent or guardian assisting throughout the workshop. \nPlease note: Hot glue guns will be used during this activity. Parent supervision and assistance is required for younger participants. \nBookings essential.
