SUMMARY:Soft Toy Taxidermy | School Holiday Workshop
DESCRIPTION:Create a wonderfully weird creature and display it like a museum specimen! \nIn this fun\, hilarious and imaginative workshop\, children will transform ordinary soft toys into extraordinary creatures using creativity\, construction skills and a little bit of artistic mischief! \nParticipants will design and build their own unique soft toy creature using a range of toys\, fabrics\, accessories and embellishments. Add extra limbs\, tails\, horns\, wings\, eyes and other surprising features to create a one-of-a-kind character. \nOnce complete\, each creature will be mounted onto a display frame\, just like a curious specimen in a natural history museum. The result is a quirky artwork that’s equal parts sculpture\, storytelling and imagination. \nThis workshop encourages creative thinking\, design skills\, problem-solving and character development while introducing participants to the playful contemporary art practice of soft toy taxidermy. \n  \n\nWhat to bring: \n· All materials supplied\n· Bring your own soft toy if you’d like to give an old favourite a new life\n· No sewing experience needed\n· Mount your creature on a display frame to take home and hang on the wall \nTake home a truly unique artwork! \n  \n\nEVENT INFORMATION \nDate: Wednesday 8th July \nTime: 10.30am -12.30pm \nCost: $34 – $39 per participant \nAge: Recommended for ages 10+. Children aged 6–9 years are welcome with a parent or guardian assisting throughout the workshop. \nPlease note: Hot glue guns will be used during this activity. Parent supervision and assistance is required for younger participants. \nBookings essential. Min 8\, max 15 \n  \n\nTerms and Conditions \n· All bookings for events\, art classes and workshops require payment in full at the time of booking \n· A minimum number of 8 students required for workshop to proceed\, please book before 10am Friday 3rd July 2026 \n· Please be aware that once bookings close\, we are unable to offer a refund \n· If the workshop does not proceed\, you will be refunded any cash amount \n· NERAM events have a limited capacity and use a ticketing system.
